Mary, Dan's sister, flew in from MT, to play with us for 10 days.

We rented a house in Sun City, AZ for 3 weeks during January. While on a walk in the neighborhood, Mary and I stopped at an open house. We commented on the plants in the backyard and the kind lady encouraged us to pick some lemons and grapefruit. We learned that the locals share their excess fruit with a food bank in the area.
This challenging puzzle kept us busy for several days.
While Dan played golf, Mary and I spent several hours enjoying the Wigwam Resort in Litchfield Park.
Paul Litchfield, an executive of the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company, came to AZ in 1916 looking for suitable land to grow cotton used to strengthen the rubber in pneumatic tire. 36,000 acres were purchased in the Salt River Valley,some of them being on the Litchfield Ranch. This area is known as Litchfield Park.
Our friends from Canon City, Jim and Clara Coltharp, have a house down in Florence, AZ. They sold their RV and bought a house. We stopped to see them after putting sister Mary on the plane. Thanks for the wine and cheese, Jim and Clara!

Our neighbors from TX, Sarah and John Stelzer, flew into Canon City for the weekend, with their friends, Steve and Pam Clemons. We went geocaching, a great way to spend the afternoon outside, hunting for treasures.
Love the new hat and scarf that my brother, Ralph, made. Now all we need is some winter weather!
