The Last Chance Min was the second richest silver producing mine in the Creede district during the 1890's. It had 13 levels and the ore vein on the Chance 6 level was more than 100 feet wide.
Jack Morris is the owner and is working on restoring this piece of history. He spent the first 3 years living in a one room cabin and has since built a larger cabin for the warmer months when he is working on this project. He is quite the saver and has accumulated rare items for his museum.
