We are spending a month at Canyon Vistas RV Resort in Gold Canyon, AZ.
This is our view looking out our front window. Watching beautiful colors appear and disappear on Superstition Mountain as the sun sets is a treat.
Finding the geocache hidden in this "Steel Steed" was a challenge. Sara and I went on the "hunt" while Dan golfed.

Our spot for the next two weeks in beautiful Cattail Cove State Park, south of Lake Havasu City, AZ.
London Bridge
We visited the London Bridge while in Lake Havasu City. It is Arizona's second largest tourist attraction (Grand Canyon being #1).
In 1968 the bridge was purchased by Lake Havasu City founder, Robert P. McCulloch for $2,460,000. Each block was numbered b before it was disassembled. It was rededicated in 1971.
This fountain and phone booth are in front of the Visitor's Center and the entrance to the London Bridge area.
Also in this park is an area for flying radio controlled toys. When we stopped, the Desert Hawk R/C Club was having an event for electric-powered fixed wing airplanes and rotor helicopters. Boys and their Toys.
Slides from the program on planets at the State Park.
Buckskin Mountain State Park is located on the Colorado River. The mountains that you see are on the California side of the river.

The above statue shows McCulloch and architect Woods, who helped design the area around the bridge.
Sara had fun playing with the other dogs in the dog park in this park. Dan and I had fun finding geocaches in this area.
The Park Ranger, who is also a singer, entertained campers before the program on hummingbirds. A Park volunteer shared his knowledge about hummers.
Sara and I climbed the trail that overlooks this State Park.
Beautiful view from our RV.
There is seating on 3 different levels.

This helicopter buzzed the park on the weekends every 15 minutes, showing paying customers the beauty of the area. It flew over the Desert Bar also.
On the Buckskin Trail hike, led by the Forest Ranger, we learned that the Saguaro is a parasite plant and takes water and nutrients from the "nurse tree". In this case the Palo Verde.
Two days of rain has brought colorful blossoms on the desert plants.
Lunch with Gus and Nancy at Waldo's BBQ. Yum
Part of our reason for staying an extra week in Gold Canyon was so that Dan could play golf with his Denver friends: John and Sue.

Sometimes weddings are held at this "chapel," which is located on the bar property.
We returned to Canyon Vistas RV resort just in time for the Mardi Gras celebration. The parade went right by our RV.
