Another beautiful Arizona sunset, we saw many while spending 4 months this winter at Canyon Vistas RV Resort.
This year's geocaching goal is to find a cache on everyday of the calendar year. Geocaching.com keeps track of the caches we have found, which makes it easy to check each month to see which days need to be filled in.
The CVRV Geocache Group participated in the Mardi Gras Parade. Our "float" won first place and the $ won went toward an ice cream sundae party.
Some of our geocaching friends gathered at a nearby restaurant for a "Meet and Greet," which is a fun way for cachers to meet others who are hooked on the hobby. Eating Mexican food is a bonus for this event.
Five of us departed at "dark o'clock" to get an early start on the Ms Pac-Man geo art. We saw lots of wildlife, but no snakes! Woo Hoo. On our way out of the desert this jeep ended up with a flat tire. Can you see the cause? When going four wheeling in the desert, or anywhere, it is best to have another vehicle along.
Friends Pam and Paul went with us to the air show at Luke Air Force Base in the Phoenix area. We got goosebumps during the reenactment of Pearl Harbor.
Fun times with Dan's sister, Mary. We loved having her in AZ for a few weeks. She camped at Lost Dutchman State Park, which is a few miles from CVRV.
Above is the pile of stuff found in the desert at an organized CITO geocaching event. Several geocachers gathered to help clean up an area in the State Trust Land. Geocaches can now be placed on AZ State Trust Land. Woo Hoo! A permit is needed to hike in the desert.

Humpty Dumpty is sitting on the wall protecting a geocache. Dan looked all over this smiling "egg" and ended up finding the cash in a crack in the wall.

This gathering was in honor of Barbara and John. They will be missed.

AZ neighbors: Barbara and John were special friends who had a trailer right behind ours. Every morning Sara and I would walk to the Dog Park and John and his dog would be there. He always had on his Ohio hat and his witty sense of humor had all of us laughing. Due to health problems, this is their last year (#14) at the park.
