Kenn, Cindy, and Walter Heismann live in Loretto, Kentucky. Kenn and Dan are cousins. They have a dog, 3 cats, and over 40 angus cattle. (and any injured critter that Cindy comes across)
This black angus is called "dinner."
Walter loves the Cincinnati Reds. He watches all of the games and knows the players and their positions.
Beautiful flowers everywhere.
Cindy is giving this baby bunny another chance.
We toured the Maker's Mark Distillery with Kenn, Cindy, and Walter. It is one of six signature distilleries on the "Kentucky Bourbon Trail."
We had fresh broccoli from the garden. YUM Notice the green paper plant peeking through the big leaves in Cindy's garden!
Having the garden beds raised, has helped Cindy's back. These cabbage plants are amazing.
We went to visit Aunt Helen, Kenn's Mom. She showed us her pictures, fossils, and jewelry.
Taste Testing.
First, starting left to right, before aging in barrel...nasty - Moonshine like. Next, Maker's Mark, fully matured, experienced on the tip of the tongue as sweet, Third, over matured, on the back of the tongue as bitter, Last, Maker's 46 - middle of the tongue with an extra kick.
